Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli’s seventh IPL century against Gujarat Titans was hailed by fans, cricketers, and experts.
Despite RCB’s failure to qualify for the playoffs, Kohli’s exceptional inning received congratulations from fans while hilariously mocking Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, who had a notorious altercation with Virat during a match between RCB and LSG.
In a recent tweet, former DDCA president Rajat Sharma took a dig at Gambhir, stating, “Brilliant batting by Virat with back-to-back centuries. He is the best, whether you like it or not.”
This isn’t the first time Rajat has taunted Gambhir; previously, when Virat achieved his sixth century, Rajat sarcastically remarked, “Somebody somewhere may not be happy. Magnificent hundred by Virat. It was a delight to watch.”
The clash between Rajat Sharma and Gautam Gambhir continues, with Rajat, who is also a journalist, previously stating that Gambhir’s altercation with Virat Kohli was fueled by jealousy towards Kohli’s success and fame. Rajat described Gambhir’s behavior as salty and ill-mannered.
In response, Gautam Gambhir took to Twitter and reminded Rajat Sharma of his short-lived tenure as the president of the Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA), highlighting his resignation. The mentor of Lucknow Super Giants referred to Rajat Sharma as a “Bhagoda” (fugitive).
Gautam Gambhir tweeted, “The man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing ‘pressure’ seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket! This is Kalyug, where fugitives have their own court.”
