Bayern Munich: Jamal Musiala relieved with the Bundesliga win – Bayern Strikes

The yearly title-winning celebrations took place in Munich on Sunday. Bayern Munich clinched their 11th consecutive league title on Saturday in the most dramatic manner. They managed to score a late winner against FC Koln to beat Borussia Dortmund for the title. Dortmund needed to win their last game, but they only managed to get a draw against Mainz at Signal Iduna Park.
The last couple of months have been difficult for Bayern as they have struggled for consistency on the pitch. They have struggled to maintain a good level of intensity in the second halves of games. A similar trend followed against Koln as they struggled to create chances and ended up conceding an equaliser in the 80th minute.
Jamal Musiala came off the bench against Koln to score the title-clinching goal for Die Roten. The youngster was on the pitch for ten minutes to make a big impact on the outcome of the game. He showed great composure to slot the ball past the goalkeeper from the edge of the box.
While talking to SportBild this week, Musiala admitted that he was relieved to make a positive impact on the game and help Die Roten to take the title back to Munich. The youngster is pleased to end an intense season on a good note.
““I’m totally happy and relieved that I managed to score and help my team. I was determined to score. You have to be there in crunch-time. Be at your best when your best is needed.  Now I want to clear my mind and go on vacation. It was an intense year for me.””
Musiala also revealed that he had watched interviews of Tim Grover (Trainer of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan) to prepare for the game against Koln. The extra effort to get in the groove for the game definitely worked for the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.
The youngster has enjoyed a very productive season with Die Roten. He has become the key player in the squad, contributing with 12 goals and ten assists in the Bundesliga. The youngster had a phenomenal Ruckrunde, scoring at a very good rate to help Rekordmeister win crucial games.
Jamal Musiala also excelled for Germany in the World Cup 2022. He was the only positive for Germany in a woeful World Cup campaign where they were knocked out in the group stage. The youngster was the creative focal point of the team, but finishing from Germany was below par in the tournament.

The form of Musiala did dip during Ruckrunde, which is normal for a young player. He still managed to deliver some big performances. Despite an inconsistent second half of the season, Musiala should be pleased with the major strides he has taken this campaign. The youngster will be even better next season when he is completely settled in Thomas Tuchel’s system.
