Have PSG ever won the Champions League? History, all-time … – Sporting News

Paris Saint-Germain, led by their star attacking triumvirate of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, have come up short in the Champions League for a second straight season.
One year after succumbing in the 2021/22 Round of 16 against Real Madrid, coughing up a 2-0 aggregate-goal lead to a Karim Benzema hat-trick, PSG fell to another storied side at the first knockout stage hurdle.
The 2022/23 Round of 16 saw them matched up against Bayern Munich and the German side were their clinical selves, notching two shutout victories en route to a 3-0 aggregate-goal blanking. What makes it worse is that two of Bayern’s three goals were scored by former PSG players.
PSG may be on course to add an 11th Ligue 1 crown in 2023, but the Champions League has been their ultimate goal in recent seasons. Yet they’ve come up short again.

PSG have never won the Champions League. The 2022/23 elimination at the hands of Bayern makes it now 15 times in the competition without winning, including the previous 11 tournaments in a row.
Only Arsenal have played and won more matches in the European Cup / Champions League without winning the trophy.

The closest PSG have come to winning the Champions League was in the 2019/20 campaign, when they reached the final, where they were beaten 1-0 by Bayern Munich in Lisbon, with Kingsley Coman (an ex-PSG player) scoring the game-winner in the 59th minute.
That season PSG topped a group including Real Madrid, Club Brugge and Galatasaray. They then beat Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta and RB Leipzig in the knockout stages en route to the final.
PSG have consistently fallen short in the Champions League since the competition was revamped in 1992/93.
PSG’s quest to win the Champions League has seen them spend record-breaking sums on star players, but it hasn’t yet paid off.
They smashed the world transfer record in 2017 when they paid Neymar’s €222 million release clause to bring in the Brazilian from Barcelona, and they spent a further €180m to pair him with France star Kylian Mbappe a year later.
In total, PSG have spent close to €1.5 billion on players since the 2011 takeover by Qatar Sports Investments.
