Royal Enfield teases Himalayan 450 ahead of launch – Team-BHP

Royal Enfield has sent out invites for a media event scheduled for October 30. Attached along with the invite is a teaser of the upcoming bike. Yes, it’s indeed the much-awaited Himalayan 450.
The Himalayan 450 will be Royal Enfield’s first liquid-cooled engine-powered model. The bike will use a 450cc single-cylinder engine that is expected to pack 40 BHP and 45 Nm. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
Besides the updated powertrain, the overall design of the Himalayan is expected to remain the same. Spy images suggest that the bike will get an upside-down fork with a mono-shock at the rear, LED headlight, LED tail light and a new single-pod instrument console.
Royal Enfield is expected to carry forward the staggered wheel setup with a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked rims shod with off-road-oriented tyres. While the braking setup will include discs at both ends supported by ABS.
