Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 spotted testing » MotorOctane – MotorOctane

Royal Enfield has adopted quite an aggressive launch strategy. It has announced that it has plans to launch a new product every quarter. Recently, it launched the Scram 411, a toned-down version of the popular Himalayan. Now Royal Enfield is looking to launch a much powerful version of the Himalayan, the Himalayan 450. The Himalayan 450 has been spotted testing in India recently. In today’s article, we will see the spotted Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
The images of the Himalayan 450 were posted by Powerdrift on their social media handles. In the spy shots, we can see a completely redesigned frame compared to the current Himalayan. We can also see 21-inch spoked wheels, raised front fender, round headlamps and a small windshield. Other things that can be spotted are upswept exhaust and spilt seat setup. We can also spot a new fuel tank and a new instrument cluster mount. It will be getting USD forks in front, whereas the Himalayan used to get conventional telescopic forks.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine will produce 40bhp of power. The torque figures of this bike are not yet revealed. Like other off-roaders, it will focus on delivering better performance in the low and mid-range.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is expected to start from Rs 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). This pricing will make it cheaper than its competitors like the KTM 390 Adventure (3.28 lakh) and BMW G310GS (3.05 lakh). The Himalayan 450 is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2023.
