Haven’t we moved on from mediocre players? But hey if he’s cheap…
The latest news out of Bayern Munich is that they are preparing to spend big money on a player in the January transfer window to compensate for the participation of Kim Min-jae in the Asian Cup and Noussair Mazraoui in AFCON. You can see that the Bavarians are targeting defenders, and they’re looking at a familiar name. Can you guess who it is?
Thilo Kehrer is one of the candidates at FC Bayern in their search for a flexible defender (RB/CB). Thomas Tuchel is planning to hold a conversation with the German international to get an idea of his intentions and availability. West Ham are open to letting Kehrer go in January.

The 27-year-old German is practically glued to the bench as the Hammers prefer Konstantinos Mavropanos and Angelo Ogbonna over the former Schalke man. Bayern can say all they want about splashing cash but they just cannot get rid of their knack for pursuing players who are mediocre at best.
