From the Pandyas to the Pathan brothers, how Vadodara has been churning out cricketing siblings for decades | India … – IndiaTimes

Few outside Vadodara know that this Gujarat city has produced nine pairs of top-class cricket siblings. Vadodara's Hardik Pandya played for India in 2016 and brother Krunal followed him into the Indian team in 2018. Barodian Irfan Pathan made his first-class debut in 2000, while Yusuf got into the Ranji squad in 2001. Vadodara's first pair of cricketing brothers was Vijay and Vivek Hazare, who played the Ranji Trophy for Baroda back in the 1940s. Vadodara, also known as Baroda, is probably the only city across the globe to have churned out so many cricketing brothers over the years.
