Royal Enfield has launched the new Himalayan in India at a starting introductory price of Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai). The ADV will be available in five different colour options across three different variants. While the prices and colour options are different, the specifications of the motorcycle remain the same across all models. With the prices for the bike finally revealed, we take a look at how value-for-money the new Himalayan is. We also compare the price to its immediate competitors like the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS. Another thing we discuss is whether owners of the original Himalayan should upgrade to the new bike or not.
