While the first half of 2023 has been average regarding new bike launches, the second half looks quite promising. While we expect more than 10 bikes and scooters to be launched in the next 6-8 months, here’s a list of the top 6 upcoming bikes that we expect to be launched in India in 2023.

The first two motorcycles launching in India in the next few weeks will be the Triumph Scrambler 400 and Triumph Street 400, which are jointly developed by Bajaj Auto and Triumph. These bikes are designed by Triumph and will be developed and manufactured in India by Bajaj. The new Triumph bikes will make their global unveil in London on 27 June, while an India launch is scheduled on 5 July.
The next motorcycle on the list is the Harley Davidson X440, which is a joint collaboration between Hero MotoCorp and Harley Davidson. The X440 will be launched in India on 3 July, and we will be riding it soon, so stay tuned for a detailed review of the motorcycle. As the name suggests, the X440 will be powered by a long-stroke 440cc, air/oil-cooled motor, which should offer good low-end performance and excellent cruising abilities.
Next up will be the all-new Hero Karizma XMR 210, which was recently showcased to the Hero dealer partners at the national dealer’s conference. The Karizma XMR 210 will be powered by a 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that is likely to produce 25bhp and 20Nm of peak torque. The motor will be linked with a six-speed gearbox. It is expected to be launched in India in September 2023 and is likely to be priced around Rs. 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is perhaps the most anticipated bike to be launched in India in 2023. The adventure tourer will be powered by an all-new 450cc, liquid-cooled motor that is likely to produce around 40bhp and 45Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox. The launch is expected to take place in September 2023 and we expect a price tag of Rs. 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
The next-generation KTM 390 Duke has been spotted testing multiple times in India and it seems to be launch ready. However, KTM will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Duke nameplate in 2024 and we expect the new 390 Duke to be launched in India in early 2024. The naked streetfighter will make its global debut at the EICMA 2023 in November. The new 390 Duke is expected to feature an all-new 399cc, liquid-cooled motor and an updated chassis and cycle parts.
Another highly anticipated motorcycle to be launched in India this year is the TVS Apache RTR 310. Based on the Apache RR 310 sportsbike, the naked streetfighter will use the same 312.2cc, liquid-cooled motor that produces 33bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. It is expected to be launched in India in the next couple of months and we expect a price tag of Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
