PSG and Al-Nassr played a club friendly that ended in a goalless draw at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Japan.
Both teams prepare for the upcoming season and are trying to settle their squad before the league matches start.
PSG are without Kylian Mbappe on this tour. The Frenchman was dropped following his transfer saga. Some of the new signings featured for both teams.
PSG played in a 4-3-3 formation, with Marco Asensio leading the line. Luis Enrique named a strong back four with Gianluigi Donnarumma guarding the goal. New signing Lucas Hernandez started as the left-back and was accompanied by another new face Milan Skriniar, who played as the left centre-back. Danilo was his partner in the centre and Achraf Hakimi provided the width on the right side. Youngster Noha Lemina, Cher Ndour and Warren Zaire-Emery also started the match.
Ethan Mbappe got some minutes off the bench. Neymar remained on the bench for this game.
Al Nasse also named a strong side. Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana were in the heart of the midfield. Cristiano Ronaldo led the attacks alongside Anderson Talisca.
The French side dominated the possession and had 64% of the ball. They attempted 13 shots and seven were saved by the goalkeeper. The Saudi club, on the other hand, attempted nine shots and three were on target.
Cristiano Ronaldo completed the full 90 minutes. Luis Castro made seven changes during the match and also gave a few minutes to another new signing, Alex Telles.
Luis Enrique replaced nine players during the match. Only the goalkeeper and Lemina played for the full 90 minutes.
Paris St. Germain played their second friendly match. They begin the 2023-24 season on 13th August against Lorient in the Ligue 1.
Al Nassr ended their two-match losing streak. They play their next friendly against Inter Milan in a couple of days’ time. The Saudi Pro League club will then play in the King Salman club cup on the 29th of this month.
