Here’s all you need to know about the 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan, set to be launched in the coming weeks as the first generational update for the motorcycle.
Ahead of the launch, Royal Enfield has been testing the motorcycle extensively. One pre-production unit of the new Himalayan has been given to YouTuber Itchy Boots who has been riding it in the Himalayas, who revealed the bike’s design.
The new Himalayan has been equipped with a large, round TFT instrument cluster that displays navigation, gear position indicator as well as the speed digitally. The lower part of the console has the fuel gauge, which is possibly an analogue setup.
The new Himalayan 452 gets all LED lighting, a shorter windshield, a new beak that looks similar to the Hero Xpulse, redesigned fuel tank, a larger intercooler, new grab handles, new exhaust, as well as new graphics all around. Other changes include USD forks at the front along with slightly more road-biased dual-purpose tyres.
While Royal Enfield is yet to officially confirm the specs of the bike, it is expected to be equipped with a larger 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, making around 40 hp of power and 40 Nm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The new Himalayan 452 is expected to be priced from around Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
