Thursday at Saint-Denis, King Charles III visited with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the chief executive of Paris Saint-Germain, PSG squad, and Marie-Antoinette Katoto, a member of PSG Féminin.
A report by RMC Sport, the PSG Organisation, which is dedicated to helping youths and neighbourhoods in need, as well as underprivileged or ill children, led Buckingham Palace to ask for a meeting with the president of the club in addition to the fact that Paris won the Ligue 1 title the previous season.
“It was a great honour and a privilege to welcome King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla to highlight the incredible work of the PSG Foundation.
PSG are proud to have a positive impact on its local communities and on those that need it, particularly in Paris, our home,” said Al-Khelaifi in a press release from the club.
Kimpembe is the leader of Les Parisiens and is also working on the PSG Foundation initiative. The France international has been out of action due to injury for the entire season.
He’s anticipated to get back in shape quickly. King Charles III held a “Charles No 3” shirt beside President Al-Khelaifi, and former Olympique de Marseille and Chelsea star Didier Drogba was also there.
Millions of us visit each other’s countries every year – a joy that we are now rediscovering after the disruption wrought by the pandemic,’ said His Royal Highness.
‘And, of course, hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens have chosen to live their lives permanently in each other’s countries.
‘This vibrant exchange between our people makes us immeasurably stronger, happier and more prosperous.
Through his own institution, “The Prince’s Trust,” which likewise emphasises learning via sport highly, King Charles III hopes to forge a link with the PSG Foundation.
