– Features a compact exhaust canister
– Uses LED turn indicators
– Launch likely to happen next year
Royal Enfield’s much anticipated Himalayan 450 continues to undergo pre-production tests as more spy images surface over the World Wide Web.
The latest spy shot of this KTM 390 Adventure-rival give a brief glimpse the tail section and the compact exhaust canister of the motorcycle. As seen in the images, the exhaust canister on this liquid-cooled Himalayan is shorter than the unit on the Himalayan 411. It also features a relatively modern design and a black-coloured heat-shield. The images of the tail section reveal new LED turn indicators – a hardware that we have not seen on any production-spec Royal Enfield motorcycle yet.
Other hardware components that we had already seen on the motorcycle include upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both ends, and wire-spoke wheels. The motorcycle looks very close to being production ready.
Bikewale brought you several exclusive updates about this upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan. Among the list were the engine specifications of this motorcycle. Sources close to the development have confirmed that the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will use a liquid-cooled engine instead of an oil-cooled motor on the existing model. This single-cylinder engine is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 45bhp. However, Royal Enfield has tuned the motor to deliver 40bhp of power. This has been done to deliver strong low and mid-range performance. Watch more exclusive details in the videos below.
