Newcastle United have made a solid return to the Champions League, drawing with AC Milan and then winning in the EFL Cup against Manchester City. The Magpies have been in good form recently, winning four of their last five matches in all competitions. Howe’s in-form team ended September in magnificent fashion with nine goals across 180 minutes of football .
After seven matchdays played in the Ligue 1, the Parisians have lost one and drawn three already. Their visit to St. James Park will be the first time since 2003 that there will be a match at Newcastle’s home ground. Even though PSG have had a mix start in the French league, they won their first group match against Borussia Dortmund, they have the better attack, and they will look to exploit Newcastle’s weaknesses.

In only his second season with the club, he has already shown that he is a capable goalscorer.

League’s top goalscorer will have the potential chance to score in his first match at St. James Park.
Newcastle’s injury woes continue, with Joelinton, Wilson, Botman, and Willock all sidelined. They were given a major blow after Harvey Barnes injured himself, he is set to miss up until November.
Meanwhile, PSG’s star man Mbappe completed the full 90 minutes against Clermont after shaking off his ankle, PSG’s left-back Nuno Mendes has undergone surgery on a hamstring problem and will not play again until 2024. Marco Asensio and Kimpembe will also miss this match alongside Mendes.
Both teams have never played against each other, this is their first-ever encounter.

Even despite all of their problems at this level, PSG have generally sailed through the group stage. This time it is going to be a difficult job for the Parisians in the group of death. Newcastle’s press will be crucial on Wednesday given PSG’s technical abilities which have evolved under Enrique.
