Marco Asensio, the 27-year-old Spanish left winger, is on the cusp of returning to action after an injury layoff that lasted just over a month. The former Real Madrid player, who suffered a foot trauma during a match against Cyprus on September 9th, has been diligently working on his recovery. Training mornings at PSG’s campus, he’s been on a tailored regimen, strictly following the recovery timeline recommended by the club’s medical team.
A promising stint with the team had marked Asensio’s arrival in Paris in July. He netted two goals and provided an assist in just three Ligue 1 matches this season. Luis Enrique, the team’s coach, has strategically utilized Asensio as a false nine in several matches, a move that has proven effective.
Paris Saint-Germain is third in the Ligue 1 standings with 4 wins, 3 losses and one draw. They’re at 15 points, trailing the leader AS Monaco with 17 at the top.

💥 Watch PSG this Saturday against Strasbourg at 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT, and follow along the entire Ligue 1 season, only on beIN SPORTS. 🔥
