Hero MotoCorp is going aggressive with its premium bike plans. A month after launching the Harley-Davidson X440, it registered a new motorcycle named Nightster 440. 
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer has been clear about developing more motorcycles on its 440cc platform. But for the first time, the company has hinted about the direction it wants to take: to launch smaller siblings of bigger bikes like the Nightster. This route is expected to help the brand build better brand value and develop a sense of buyer trust. Plus, the company can spend a little money to market a completely new motorcycle brand. 
With the Nightster 440, Hero MotoCorp will likely use the bike’s design aesthetics and develop a new motorcycle. However, the chassis, sub-frame and the 440cc air-cooled engine will be borrowed from the X440, just like some other cycle parts.
The Nightster 440 will sit above the X440 in the Indian market, and as a result of that, it will be priced much higher. Regarding the launch, we can expect this bike to make its global debut sometime late next year or early 2025, as Hero has planned its version of the 440cc motorcycle next year. This will allow the company to keep decent space between its premium bike launches.
