Royal Enfield looking to enter the used bike business – BikeWale

Royal Enfield likely to enter the used-bike segment
– Trademarks Reown brand
– Could sell it from current dealerships
Royal Enfield will likely get into the used bike business world officially. The company has applied for a new trademark and received permission to own and use ‘Reown’.
This trademark clearly shows that Royal Enfield wants to enter the pre-owned bike business officially. Currently, only a handful of motorcycle brands are in the used bike business. Through this route, brands can offer motorcycles in better condition, but the prices are usually higher than in the unorganised used bike industry.
With the Renown brand, Royal Enfield would want to offer motorcycles bought from their dealers or use bikes from the exchange program. While details are scarce, the brand would mostly have rules or checklists that every used bike needs to go through before being sold to a customer. There’s a high chance all these used bikes will be sold through their existing dealer network.
