– Based on the top-spec Thruxton RS
Triumph has unveiled the new Final Edition of its iconic café racer, the Thruxton. As the name suggests, it will mark the end of the motorcycle’s legendary run and celebrate the 80th anniversary of its first-ever iteration.
The first Thruxton was rolled out in 1964 and the Final Edition pays homage to that model with the Competition Green colour scheme. This glossy paintwork is complemented by hand-painted golden stripes along with the initials of the artist who painted them. The motorcycle also features the ‘Thruxton Final Edition’ branding on the black-coloured side panels. Moreover, the owners of this bike will get a certificate of authenticity sporting its unique VIN and the signature of Thruxton’s design team members and the brand’s CEO, Nick Bloor.
In terms of hardware, the Thruxton Final Edition is essentially the top-spec RS variant of the motorcycle. It is powered by a 1,200cc, parallel-twin engine that gets high-compression pistons and cams and produces close to 105bhp and 112Nm. The cycle parts are top-notch with Showa Big Piston forks up front and twin Ohlins springs at the rear, both being fully adjustable. The braking setup comprises M50 callipers sourced from Brembo while wrapped around its stunning wire spoke rims are Metzeler Racetec RR tyres.
The production of the Triumph Thruxton Final Edition won’t be limited to a fixed number of units but it will be manufactured only till the end of 2024.
