Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Fuel efficiency, specifications, prices, and more – BikeWale

Hero MotoCorp launched the updated Xtreme 160R earlier this year and it is now called the Xtreme 160R 4V. The suffix denotes the addition of a four-valve system to the bike’s motor. Apart from that, the new trim has also brought a few other updates. So, if you are smitten by the Xtreme 160R 4V and plan to purchase it, then here are some of the important aspects you need to know.
Powering the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is a 163cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled motor that develops 16.6bhp and 14.4Nm. It is linked to a five-speed gearbox and the motor is quite peppy. It revs freely and is fuel-efficient at the same time. During the BikeWale test, the Xtreme 160R returned a mileage of 48.28kmpl. This means the bike could munch around 580km in a single full tank. However, the numbers could vary as per your riding speed and conditions.
Hero offers the Xtreme 160R 4V in four colours overall – Blazing Sports Red, Matt Slate Black, Neon Shooting Star, and Matt Slate Black.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three variants – Standard, Connected, and Pro. The asking price for the base model is Rs. 1,27,300, while the Connected and Pro models are priced at Rs. 1,32,800 and Rs. 1,36,500 (all ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. The Hero Xtreme 160R rivals the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and the Yamaha FZ-S.
