Monaco narrowly escaped defeat at Stade Oceane, securing a 0-0 draw against Le Havre, thanks to Swiss goalkeeper Philip Kohn’s penalty save in the final moments of the twelfth matchday in Ligue 1. The draw, however, falls short of Monaco’s ambitions to claim the second position and challenge PSG’s dominance.
Despite their intentions, Monaco faced a resilient challenge from the newly-promoted Le Havre, which had a shot at victory. Monaco failed to convert their chances, and the team, led by Luka Elsner, missed a golden opportunity late in the game.
The pivotal moment came with a penalty awarded for a foul by Edan Diop on Samuel Grandsir inside the box. Grandsir, who had recently entered the field, took the penalty kick, but goalkeeper Philip Kohn’s heroics denied the goal.
As a result, Paris Saint-Germain maintains its lead in the standings with 27 points, one ahead of Nice and two clear of Monaco. Both Monaco and Nice fell short of securing victories in their respective matches.
