Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 leaked ahead of launch – Team-BHP

News
The first images of the production-spec Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 have leaked online. The new ADV is expected to be launched on November 1 and if the latest trademark filings are anything to go by, it could be called ‘Guerilla 450’.
The upcoming Himalayan 450 looks similar to the current model. It has a circular LED headlamp with a smoked windscreen on top, raised handlebars and a dirt bike-style front fender. The bike comes with a flat and wide 2-piece seat with a sturdy grab rail that has provision to mount panniers and a top box.
The Himalayan 450 is said to be based on a new chassis, wherein the engine is a stressed member. Speaking of the engine, the new 450cc unit will be the first liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine offered by the brand. It is estimated to produce around 40 BHP and 40 Nm and will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
As you can see, the bike is equipped with an upside-down fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The brake setup consists of single discs at both ends, which is likely to be supported by dual-channel ABS.
