The oldest motorcycle manufacturer in continuous production, Royal Enfield, is about to launch the all-new Himalayan 450 adventure motorcycle in India. Further advancement on this motorcycle recently revealed a fully undisguised model with some unique gold-painted parts spotted during testing. A short video of this model being stopped at a checkpoint has been shared online. The official launch date for the Himalayan 450 has been announced. The new adventure motorcycle will make its debut on November 7th.

The video of this undisguised Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been shared on YouTube by Hiranmoy Bera on their channel. In this particular short YouTube video, we can note that the brand-new Himalayan 450, finished in black and gold, was stopped at a checkpoint. This particular Himalayan 450 had a unique gold color on its rear and front spoked wheels. Also, the same gold color was seen underneath the driver’s seat in the center section and the lower portion of the fuel tank.

Interestingly, this particular motorcycle was bearing the standard white and black number plate. All previously spotted models were noted to be wearing red number plates for test mules. Upon further investigation, it was noted that this black color for the Himalayan 450 has been given a new name. In the Himalayan 450, this new gloss black color will be called “Hanle Black”. In addition to the wheels and fuel tank, the new golden color was also spotted on the Royal Enfield and Himalayan logos on the bike as well.

As mentioned, the company will be launching the new Himalayan 450 on November 7th. The new bike brings a ton of changes over the existing model. The upcoming new Himalayan 450 adventure motorcycle will now sit on an all-new steel trellis frame. The bike will get new suspension on the front, which will be a USD fork suspension setup. On the rear, it will feature a monoshock suspension.

Apart from this, on the front, the upcoming Himalayan 450 will feature a new round headlight, equipped with an LED setup on the inside. Additionally, the indicator design has been updated. The new adventure bike will also come equipped with a single circular digital LCD display. This new screen will display all the essential information of the bike. It will most likely also be offered with Bluetooth connectivity. What will also be new is the switchgear on the handlebar.
Regarding the powerplant side of things, the Chennai-based automaker has given the Himalayan 450 its first-ever liquid-cooled engine. This engine has been built from scratch by the company and is a completely new 450cc single-cylinder engine. This new engine will likely produce around 40 bhp of power and 45 Nm of torque. As for the gearbox, it will likely be a six-speed unit.

Just a few days ago, the company shared a video of the bike finishing its final test on its Instagram page. The video showed the Royal Enfield CEO, B. Govindarajan, and other crew members reaching Umling La, the highest motorable pass in India. The test began with the riders taking the newly manufactured motorcycles from the assembly line in the company’s plant in Oragadam, Chennai, and riding them for over 5,000 km to reach Umling La Pass, which is at an elevation of 19,024 feet in Ladakh.
